Best Practices

In the current era, a large number of trees are cut down though causes and purposes might be diverse. However, the consequence is global warming which has been everyone's concern. In view of this, M.R. Government Arts College, Mannargudi, maintains a green and salubrious campus and is being done as a best practice. To ensure continuous planting of various plant saplings and to provide a very healthy learning environment is its basic principle. The five units of NSS and the NCC cadets practice as well as coordinate planting of saplings as well as their maintenance periodically. Thus, the 43 acres college campus is salubrious even during severe summer days and learners- educator friendly.

Similarly, the college celebrates national and international commemorative days, events and festivals as well as organizes extension activities beginning from plantation of saplings, Palmyara seeds collection and sowing, health awareness creation, Swatch Bharath events, safety & self protection to collection and disposal plastic wastes etc either independently or in collaboration with other NGOs, community or government departments through NCC, NSS, RRC & YRC, Consumer forum etc. Career guidance unit of the college, organizes introduction & training classes for TNPSC exams.
