The Code of Conduct – Students
- Should wear the student Identity Card (ID) and it is compulsory in the college campus.
- A formal dress code is important and should be followed strictly.
- A well formal hairstyle is to be followed; no articles (like ear studs, wrist threads, etc.) should be worn by male students if it is identified with public disturbance/dissonance.
- Two-wheelers and bicycles should be parked at specified sheds/places.
- The use of mobile phones in classes and the college premises is prohibited.
- Should attend all theory and practical classes regularly as per the college calendar/class timetable.
- Should be seated in the classrooms/laboratories 5 to 10 minutes before the commencement of classes.
- Punctuality and discipline in classrooms, laboratories, and all other college premises are strictly expected.
- After refreshment/attending to nature’s call, should report to the class without any delay.
- Active participation in all the components of the Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) is important.
- Participation in any one of the ‘Extension Activities’ (NCC, NSS, YRC, RRC, etc.) is compulsory for all undergraduate students.
- Participation in extracurricular and co-curricular activities should be suitably carried out.
- Attending ‘Computer Literacy Program’ (CLP) and ‘Soft Skill Courses’ is required.
- Attending the Naan Mudhalvan Scheme (NMS) and RUSA courses is mandatory.
- A leave letter signed by one of your parents should be submitted as and when it is availed.
- Relatives/friends are not allowed inside the college campus unless or otherwise required.
- The affiliating Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli semester examination rules and regulations should be followed strictly.
- Smoking, the use of alcohol, or any substance abuse is strictly punishable.
- Respecting all your teachers, staff, and valuing the facilities provided by the government are the first and foremost responsibilities.
- Any change in class-time/room/duration, and any guidelines from the Directorate of Collegiate Education, Department of Higher Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, will be final and must be adhered to.
- To protect self-health as well as safeguard societal health, any health advice recommended by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu, and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India/Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine should be followed strictly.
The Code of Conduct – Teachers
- Staff Identity Card (ID) should be worn in the college campus.
- Inculcating appropriate campus behaviors among students must be practiced without any lapses.
- Two-wheelers and four-wheelers should be parked at the staff members' parking sheds.
- Student classes should begin on time as per the course plan.
- Theory and practical syllabi should be completed well ahead of the University examinations.
- Students should be supplied with required book materials/notes for studies/preparation.
- Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) of students should be done fairly without any prejudice or partiality.
- Students should be assisted during hands-on sessions of practical classes; their performance assessment should be unbiased.
- Staff members of the ‘Students Monitoring and Disciplinary Committee’ should attend their duty as per the drafted schedule.
- Should attend National (Independence Day, Republic Day, and Teacher’s Day) and International Commemorative Day (International Yoga Day, Women’s Day) celebrations without fail.
- Staff in charge of NCC, NSS, RRC, YRC, Placement Cell, Career Guidance Cell, Women’s Cell, etc., and members of various committees (students' admission committee, disciplinary committee, examination cell, students' hostel representative committee, etc.) should perform their duties and responsibilities with dedication.
- All staff should attend oath-taking events as scheduled.
- A casual leave application should be submitted to the Principal through the Head of the Department in advance, if availed.
- Class teachers should maintain all relevant records of their class without fail.
- Election duty or any other official duty assigned by the government must be undertaken.
- Public health advice should be followed strictly.
- A holistic approach towards the teaching profession and a parental attitude towards learners is essential.
